Acceptable Use Policy
Ommelo captures screenshots and page content from the sites you audit, and can record real user sessions. This policy sets out what you may and may not do with that capability.
Effective 31 July 2026
This policy is part of the Terms
This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of, and is governed by, our Terms of Service. Breaching it is a breach of the Terms.
You must be authorised to audit and to record
You are solely responsible for having the right to audit any target site and to record any session you capture with the extension. By using Ommelo you warrant that you own the target, or are otherwise authorised to audit it and to record the session, and that you have any consents required from the people whose activity or data may be captured. For that captured content you act as the data controller and Ommelo acts as your processor — see the Privacy Policy.
Prohibited uses
You must not use Ommelo to:
- ·Audit or record any site or session you are not authorised to audit or record.
- ·Capture, store, or process other people’s personal data unlawfully, or without a lawful basis and any required consent.
- ·Attack, overload, probe, or disrupt a site — including scraping or crawling in breach of the target’s terms, robots directives, or rate limits.
- ·Bypass an authentication or paywall boundary using anything other than your own valid test credentials for a site you are authorised to access.
- ·Upload or submit unlawful, infringing, malicious, or harmful content, or malware.
- ·Reverse engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense, or attempt to extract the audit ruleset or the underlying models or platform.
- ·Use the service to build a competing product, or in any way that breaches applicable law.
How the product limits capture — and where it stops
The extension and audit walker are built to respect scope: they never bypass an authentication wall except with your own test credentials, and Ommelo never accepts or stores card or CVV values. Password and card values are redacted, and password and card input regions are canvas-blurred, before a recording is uploaded. This redaction is best-effort and is not a guarantee — other personal data visible on screen can still be captured, so you must still avoid recording others' sensitive data and should delete any recording that captures more than you intended.
Enforcement and reporting
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access for accounts that breach this policy, with or without notice depending on the severity. If you believe someone is using Ommelo to audit or record your site or your users without authorisation, or is otherwise breaching this policy, report it to alifnoushad.96@gmail.com and we will look into it.
